Duping of Gold
Does anyone think there is duping of gold going on in this game? It seems like there is an awful lot of gold floating around. (Especially on ebay)

Well when all these desperate guilds (and there's alot of them) pay up to 100k for sigils, of course there's going to be alot of gold floating around. I don't think there's any duping though. Gold isn't actually an item like in D1/D2 so without some sort of hack, there's no possible way it could be done.

And really why would you need to dupe gold you can barely carry any even if you max out all your characters and your inventory. For most high lvl stuff it because more of 100k gold + X amount of sigils when buying stuff.

I have a student who tells me that many Korean "businessmen" set up shops in china and pay tons of people to play games, levelling, gold farming and item farming...

They only pay a few people to manage a bunch of bots. The only reason they need the people is to monitor the bots for if a GM contacts them to respond and if the bot fills up it inventory or gets stuck.

Odd thing is that ANet explicitly said they wouldn't let players run around with obscene amounts of gold. Yet there are hardly any gold sinks in the game and almost all the gold you earn stays in the game and floats around.

Well if you want a gold sink they could make obscenely large upkeep on weapons and armor.
